Steps for Ceramic Products  

• Pour slip into mold
• Wait 20-30 minutes for the water to be absorbed by the plaster mold until a ¼ inch clay shell is formed
• Empty out the excess liquid ceramic slip
• Allow mold to drain for 20-30 minutes
• Allow to sit in the mold to dry for 3-4 hours
• Unstrap and lift off half of the mold
• Gently remove clay body from mold
• Allow to dry for 24 hours
• Clean the greenware by sanding off seam lines and any imperfections
• Wipe down greenware thoroughly with damp sponge
• Bake in ceramic kiln for 1900+ degrees for 6 to 8 hours
• Allow kiln to cool for 24 hours
• Apply 3 coats of colored glaze allowing drying time between each coat (approximately 1 hour between coats)
• Refire at 1800+ degrees in the ceramic kiln
• Allow kiln to cool for 24 hours
• Can only use mold three times and then have to let the mold dry for 3 to 4 days before using again
